If you’re looking for a great airport in California, then the San Fransisco International Airport is a great place to start. This is actually the tenth largest airport in America, and when you consider the size of American that’s actually pretty large. Yes it’s busy, and yes it can be confusing, but at least the SFO parking is fairly simple!
First we’ll look at the option to park your vehicle off the airport. Yes, you can do this, and the closest off-airport lot is approximately 1 mile away from SFO. Your car will be ready as soon as you get back, and there are even free donuts! This is definitely a great deal, though you will have to pay $10 to part out doors and $13 to part indoors. Still, it’s not too bad.
However, you can also choose to use the short-term parking on the airport lot. This is perfect when you will not be in the airport for a long time yet think you may be there longer than justifying the use of parking in front of the terminal. The first hour will cost you $5 and then $1 for every twelve minutes after that. However, you may face a fee of $35 a day if you plan to be in the airport for most of the day.
When you plan to be there a while, you may wish to consider long term SFO parking, especially if you think you may be longer than you hope to be. The charges here are $4 for the first hour and then an additional $1 every 12 minutes. However, you may opt to pay only $14 per day, which is much cheaper than the daily fee of short term SFO parking.
You may choose to go all out for safety and security of your vehicle by choosing to use the SFO valet parking option. This fully functional and fully equipped valet parking service will cost you approximately $35 a day. When you choose this service, you can pick up your car at any time you get ready for it.
Finally if you are a disabled individual, then there are disabled parking spaces available. The rates for the handicapped spaces are exactly the same as the rates for the other parking spots, so be prepared for that. Fortunately the airport is handicap accessible and equipped with plenty of ramps.
As you can see there are tons of options for SFO parking that you can take advantage of! If you’re thinking of flying out of San Francisco (”The City”) any time soon, or any time at all for that matter then you would do well to choose this airport. As always make sure that you make your reservations in advance so you’ll have everything planned out properly, and of course, happy parking (and flying)!
